Road Warriors!

After a week of unpacking, swatting mosquitos, and nesting in our wheeled home, it’s time to get back to work. Monday looms, but we’re ready. Internet is stable, headphones are charged and our desks are in place—side by side, like a tiny command center for two people chasing big dreams.

Rob spent the better part of Saturday mumbling under his breath while assembling my new office chair. It’s massive. Definitely not designed for RV life. But it’s a crisscross sitting chair, which means I can fold myself into it like a pretzel—something that helps ease the aches and pains of lupus. It’s not practical, but it’s beautiful. And the biggest part tucks under my desk just enough to pretend it belongs.
With the office set up, it’s time to shift gears. I’ve got a list—55 properties, all over 10 acres. Some stretch to 70. Technically, that qualifies as a “hobby ranch,” but to us, it feels like possibility. Space to breathe. Space to grow. Space to build something that lasts.
Rob’s job this week? Sort through the list. My job? Keep dreaming. We’ll start visiting properties soon, walking the land, listening for the one that speaks to us. One thing is certain - it will be more land than any one family needs—but maybe just enough for a refuge. For flowers. For belonging.
We’re road warriors now. Working from the rig, chasing the horizon, and building a life that’s rooted in rhythm, ritual, and the wild hope of starting over.
Next up: Who knows?
We’d love to tease the next post… but truthfully, we don’t know what comes next. The road is open, the land is calling, and the future is unwritten. Maybe we’ll walk a property that feels like home. Maybe we’ll chase dogs through another pond. Whatever it is, we’ll meet it with muddy boots and open hearts.
The pups will be fine - they're already quite comfortable.
